Dr. Megan Allred

Meet Dr. Allred

Dr. Megan Allred was born and raised in Kentucky but is thrilled to consider now Nashville her home. Having graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Murray State University, Dr. Allred then continued her studies at the University of Kentucky, gaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Following dental school, she continued her dental training by completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. As part of her residency, she gained more general dentistry experience, including treating more complex and medically compromised patients.

One of Dr. Allred’s favorite aspects of dentistry is the opportunity to interact with so many different individuals and build relationships with her patients. She always strives to deliver compassionate and quality care while, in turn, meeting patients where they are to help them achieve their dental goals.

Dr. Allred is a Spear Faculty Club and Spear Study Club member, as well as a member of the Nashville Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Society and the American Dental Association. She values lifelong learning and participates in continuing education courses to help further her skills and stay current in the latest dental advances. Dr. Allred has received unique training to be able to treat certain sleep apnea patients through oral appliance therapy.

In her free time, Dr. Allred enjoys spending time with her husband, two beautiful daughters and their two dogs. Traveling and spending time outdoors are passions they enjoy partaking in as a family. She is also actively involved with her church, Christ Presbyterian Church, Music Row.

Having a heart for serving others, Dr. Allred has participated in dental mission trips to Nicaragua, Honduras and Kenya. She is a alumna of the Nashville Young Leaders Council, an organization which exists to “train diverse, committed individuals to effectively participate on the boards of nonprofit organizations and make a difference in the community by replenishing the volunteer leadership base”.

Dr. Allred is a current board member of Amazima Ministries and a past volunteer with the Make A Wish foundation and End Slavery TN.
